Perform daily inspections on European-style cranes to ensure their safe operation. Conduct routine safety inspections during crane operation. The key inspection items are as follows:(1) The travel limit switches, height limiters and all interlock mechanisms for lifting shall function normally, safely and reliably;(2) Requirements for major components: the opening dimension shall be less than 15% of the original size, and the torsional deformation shall be less than 10%; the wear of the plate hook bushing shall be less than 50% of the original size, and the wear of the plate hook mandrel shall be less than 5%; no peeling, repair welding or burrs are allowed; the hook suspension frame and pulleys shall be free of obvious defects.　(3) The surface wear and corrosion of steel wires shall not exceed 40% of the wire diameter. Within a certain length, the number of broken wires shall be less than 10% of the total wires, with no wire breakage, obvious abrasion, core extrusion, extrusion deformation, burnout, sharp-angle twisting or annealing.(4) The drum shall be free of cracks and loose connections and fixings; the wall wear of the drum shall be less than 20% of the original wall thickness; no less than two turns of safety rope shall be retained on the drum. The diameter ratio of the drum to the steel wire rope shall meet relevant requirements, the balance wheel shall be firmly fixed, and the steel wire rope shall comply with relevant specifications.Daily inspections shall be implemented to ensure the safe operation of European-style cranes. The pulley block serves to connect the hook, drum and other components on a container gantry crane. It reduces the operating speed of the hoisting mechanism, which is equivalent to increasing the speed ratio of the reducer and lowering the configuration requirements for the reducer.In addition, the pulley block has a labor-saving effect and is one of the indispensable and key components of gantry cranes. Generally, a new pulley shall be replaced when the wall thickness wear of the pulley groove reaches 1/10 of the original wall thickness or the radial wear capacity reaches 1/5 of the wire rope diameter. Uneven wear of pulley grooves may occur due to uneven pulley material, non-compliant installation or poor contact between the wire rope and the pulley. In this case, the wear degree shall be calculated based on the severely worn part, and the pulley shall be replaced in a timely manner once the above wear standards are met.

As static electricity accumulates, the corresponding risk level increases, and the same applies to cranes. As a natural phenomenon, static electricity cannot be completely eliminated. If this is not feasible, the operator must not get off the crane casually. After closing all control levers, the operator shall jump off the crane with feet kept together. Strict standardized requirements apply to the installation of electric single-girder cranes, which are specified as follows:One side of the installed electric single-girder crane is equipped with a C-shaped rail, which serves to guide the flexible cable of the electric hoist. The crane traveling electrical control cabinet shall be mounted on the opposite side of the C-shaped rail.The crane traveling electrical control cabinet shall be installed on the side close to the safety sliding contact line.Direction definition: Standing on the C-shaped rail side and facing the crane, the forward and backward directions refer to the crane traveling direction, and the left and right directions refer to the trolley traveling direction.For cranes equipped with only two crane traveling drive units, the drive units must be installed on the side where the C-shaped rail is mounted.The crane traveling current collector shall be installed on the side close to the crane traveling motor.

No type of crane can be completely free of faults. Install ventilation devices on the inspection hole cover and oil filling hole cover to balance the internal and external pressure. Meanwhile, improve the machining accuracy of the box joint surfaces and all matching surfaces to prevent box deformation. In addition, conduct regular and standardized maintenance to reduce the occurrence of failures.Relationship Between Improper Maintenance and Reducer Oil LeakageFailure to perform regular maintenance on the reducer will cause blockages in multiple parts of the equipment. What principles should be followed when setting the safe operating distance for gantry cranes?To meet the stability requirements of the gantry along the crane track direction, the crane wheel spacing shall be determined first. The basic principle is to ensure that the outer dimension of goods can smoothly pass through the planar steel frame of the outriggers. Meanwhile, a certain clearance shall be reserved between the external dimensions of the gantry crane and the goods and vehicle passages in the yard to facilitate loading and unloading operations.When vehicles carry out loading and unloading within the crane span, a distance of no less than 0.7 meters shall be maintained from the crane gantry legs. When the lifting gear is not in operation, it shall keep a clearance of more than 0.5 meters from vehicles. A spacing of over 0.5 meters shall be ensured when goods pass through the gantry legs.
