"Everyone emphasizes safety, everyone responds to emergencies — Unblock the life passage". June this year marks the 23rd National Work Safety Month.
Actively responding to government calls, SINOKOCRANES always attaches importance to daily safety management and pursues continuous improvement. The company has launched a series of safety activities led by management and participated by all staff to strengthen safety awareness, including major hidden danger investigation arrangements, company-wide fire safety training, work safety sharing sessions, safety supervisors’ participation in pre-shift meetings, legal publicity through typical cases, and special rectification campaigns. By extensively collecting suggestions and implementing multiple measures, the company has achieved immediate results, reducing safety incidents and economic losses, and maintained a stable and sound safety performance in the first half of the year.
To further carry out the series of Safety Month activities, SINOKOCRANES organized an on-site fire equipment operation drill on the afternoon of June 22, 2024. More than 40 participants took part in the activity, including production management personnel, security staff, team leaders, new employees, and staff serving in key fire-prevention positions.

Fire Extinguishing Equipment Knowledge Training
Before the drill commenced, Xie Yongjun, the company safety officer, delivered a professional lecture on the characteristics, applications, operating methods and precautions of fire-fighting equipment including carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, dry powder fire extinguishers and fire sand. The training enabled all participants to apply theoretical knowledge to practical operations and verified the effectiveness of on-site safety training.
On-Site Fire Equipment Operation Drill
Twenty participating employees were selected for on-site practical exercises. In turn, they rushed quickly to two meters away from the fire source with different fire extinguishing tools in hand. The participants pulled out the safety pin, held the nozzle with one hand and pressed the handle with the other, aiming accurately at the root of the fire, and put out the fire successfully with smooth and coherent operations.
After the drill, Wang Zhende, General Manager Assistant, commented and summarized the activity. He pointed out that in the initial stage of a fire, personnel shall make decisive judgments and rapid responses, and properly use fire extinguishers, fire hydrant water, fire sand and other fire-fighting equipment to prevent the fire from spreading and escalating. Meanwhile, he emphasized that no property shall be cherished in the event of a fire. Personnel must adhere to the principle of life first and evacuate the fire scene quickly and correctly.
